Mom and Me Summer Crafting Class

- Note to self - 

Sign the kids up for this fun class! 

Join me this coming Tuesday as I walk you and your young ones through creating their very own dry erase board.  Each attendee will have a chance to personalize their board with their names and gender-specific embellishments.
 
Your kids can use these boards to keep track of their play dates, assignments and extracurricular activities. Or you could use it to sneak in a cute reminder of their chores every now and then ;)

This class is suitable for girls or boys.

Attendees must be 6 years old or older, and must have an adult accompany them for assistance. 

In addition to your basic supplies, please bring a glue stick, pop dots and glue dots.

October SNL Layouts

I almost forgot to post my layouts form this month's SNL class. My themes were You are my Sunshine, Home is where the ♥ is, and Trick or Treat.

I love how simple and clean, yet bright and colorful this one turned out.

It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Even though I wasn't able to include the pictures on this one, 

my plan for is to put wallet size pictures of the three houses Scott and I have lived in.

I'm really looking forward to this year's Halloween so I can take pictures of both kids. 

These photos are from two years ago.

Last year Sam ended up getting sick and therefore we weren't able

to get photos of him in his costume. 

I'm ready for some new material :)

September SNL Layouts

Even as I type this, I'm in total shock over the fact that we're already in the middle of September. Seriously?! Pretty soon it'll be time for Christmas decorations and shopping and parties and all that craziness that comes with my most favorite season. But as much as I love it, my mind is just not quite there yet.

Anyway, we had a great SNL class this past weekend. Our class was SOLD OUT, people! Woo Hoo!
Here are the layouts that I made with some of my favorite ladies in town:

"You are a hoot!" Single

This might just be the favorite layout I've done in quite a while. 

It's simple, but there's something about it that just makes me happy. 

Maybe it's the cork tree branch. 

Or the adorable owl. 

Or the bright colors. 

Or maybe it's the crazy model. 

I don't know. 

But put it all together, and I love it!

"Enjoy every moment" Single

Sweet and soft and pretty.

"Fall is in the air" Double

We made the tree trunk with pieces of cardboard I cut from one of 

Sam's diaper boxes. That was so fun!

Chelsea and I are already hard at work planning our pages for next month's SNL. The themes will be Halloween, Sunshine, Home, Moments in Time, and Lights Camera Action.

And yes, I promise not to slack in the sneak peek department next month.

August SNL Layouts

It's hard to believe we're already done with this month's SNL class. Is it just me, or does it seem like time is really flying by these days? On the one hand, I'll be happy to be done with this horrendously hot Summer season and welcome nice cool Autumn days. But on the other, I'm afraid I'm going to blink and it's going to be Christmas, and as much as I LOVE Christmas, I'm just not quite ready for that!

Well, enough about me and my whining. Let's move on to the good stuff. 

Here are the layouts we created in class this month:

Precious Baby:

Although mine is a boy layout, our class attendants were able to chose whether they wanted 

this to be a boy layout or a girl layout.

My Buddy

Again, although mine is a dog layout, our class attendants were able to chose whether 

they wanted this to be a dog layout or a cat layout. 

I have never given them so many options before, but I kind of liked it!

And finally, one of my all time favorites:

Love it! It's so fun and colorful and vibrant!
I must admit, I saw something like it in a magazine once and since then I've been dying to re-create it.

I've already picked my themes for next month's class: Fall Days, Who loves you?, and Everyday Moments. So stay tuned for a sneak peek soon to come!

July SNL Layouts

So, we just had July's SNL class this weekend and you have to believe me when I tell you that it was definitely a FUN one! Besides the fact that we had 15 wonderful ladies signed up (the most EVAH!), both Rhonda and I managed to create some pretty cool pages. Can I just tell you how much I love our monthly SNL classes?!

I'm currently working on my Mom & Me class for this coming Thursday where, in honor of Christmas in July, kids as young as 6 years old are welcome to join us in creating a festive Christmas frame. We'll be painting, flocking, glittering, and embellishing a picture frame perfect for your favorite Christmas picture. I'll be posting a sneak peek of that project on the blog tomorrow. So stay tuned!

July SNL Sneak Peek

OK, so I've got some good news and I've got some bad news....

The good news: 

There's still time to sign up for July's SNL class at Eclectica. The class will be this coming Saturday from 4-8 PM. I will be co-teaching it with Eclectica's very own, the oh so talented Ms. Rhonda, and I couldn't be more excited! We've got some really fun pages planned for you.

June SNL Layouts

June's SNL turned out to be such a fun class with a great group of women. I love that we have a group of regulars, but yet every month we get to meet new people who share our passion for scrapbooking. But I especially love that they really liked the pages that we made together.

Fast Formulas for Fabulous Pages ~ Tuesday, June 15

Back in April, I taught a scrapbooking class called Fast Formulas for Fabulous Pages. The concept is simple ~ being short on scrapbooking time does not mean not being able to actually sit down and scrapbook.

So here's the good news: since this class was SO well received, we've decided to do it again,... with ALL NEW FORMULAS!
Join me this coming Tuesday and I will walk you through the process of using three different formulas (sketches) to create some truly unique pages. You will leave class with three (3) photo-ready 12x12 layouts, detailed instructions and nine (9) different formulas that you can later use yourself.

OK, I don't know about you, but seeing this makes me want to scrapbook my Popsicle-eating children all over again! Don't have pictures of your kids eating delicious frozen treats? Then make sure to take pictures as they enjoy themselves,... you'll have a fabulous layout ready for your own wonderful pictures.

May SNL Layouts

Here are pictures of the layouts we worked on during this month's Saturday Night Layouts class. I really enjoy doing this class, and have been teaching it since October of last year. But my favorite aspect is a group of "regulars", which make the class SO much fun. So thank you for that, ladies!

This was SUCH a fun class! 

We'll definitely be repeating this concept in the near future.

March SNL Layouts

Here are the layouts we worked on during this month's Saturday Night Layouts class.

Our themes this month were Lucky (for St. Patrick's Day), A Day in the Life, and Easter.

FYI: The LO does not include that funky shadow on the
lower right hand corner IRL.

I might include a picture of Scott and one of Isabella and Sam
together for this LO, since I'm so lucky to have them.

I'm planning on taking picture of our everyday routines for this one:
breakfast and playtime for AM
dinner and baths for PM
full bottle of wine and empty bottle of wine for night time
Ha Ha Ha! Just kidding,...
Or am I?

We actually wove our very own Easter basket and filled it
with paper eggs, which was so much fun!
This was a fun way to use a lot of our paper scraps.

Next month I'll have the honor of teaching with the fabulous Rhonda, and I can't wait! Our themes for April are going to be: Friends, Family, Travel, April Showers, Be Unique and Mom. Don't those sound fun?
