I Heart Faces "Yellow" Entry

Wow, it's been a while since I last submitted an I Heart Faces entry.

The challenge for this week is "Yellow". I immediately thought of some of the photos I took of Isabella WAY back in 2008, when she was almost 3 and Sam was just a newborn. Scott was out of town on business, so the three of us spent the entire day at the Botanic Gardens.

Gosh, she's a vision in yellow!

And she looks so little.

stunning Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.

I Heart Faces "Silhouette" Entry

Even though it's been months since I last participated in a I ♥ Faces photo challenge, when I saw what their theme is for the week (Silhouette), I immediately knew I had the perfect photo to submit.

This is one of my most favorite photos EVER. It was taken on Christmas Eve last year, right before putting Isabella to bed. She was standing there, mesmerized with our Christmas tree. And I just love that I was able to capture such a beautiful and magical moment.

I Heart Faces "All About Babies" Entry

Let me just start by saying that this week I ♥ Faces is doing a number on me. You see, I love babies. I love everything about the baby stage. And even though the chances of sleep deprivation and exhaustion and postpartum are pretty high, there is something so magical about this stage to me.

 

The challenge for this week is "All About Babies", so I thought one of the first photos of me and my handsome little man would be the perfect candidate for this challenge. I love this photo. It was taken during our hospital stay. I remember not being able to do anything but look at him. All.The.Time! I love the memories it evokes ~ his adorable little newborn body, his sweet baby smell, his sweet disposition, my overflowing heart.

I Heart Faces "Play" Entry

The challenge for this week is "Play". I immediately thought of this picture of Isabella and Sam from last year. She had a blast driving her brother around the backyard in her little jeep. He wasn't too sure what to make of the whole thing. In his defense, her driving was a bit on the crazy side. But she sure did have fun!

The challenge for this week is "Yellow". I have to admit, this is a bit of a stretch for me. Apparently yellow is not a color we wear or surround ourselves with a whole lot. But I remembered this pictures of Isabella and Scott from when we went to see the sunflowers a while back. I love the expression of sheer joy they both have on their faces.

The challenge for this week is "Faces & Flowers". I immediately thought of this picture of Isabella from our first ever visit to the Botanic Gardens back in 2008. I love how she's using so many of her senses to really take in those flowers ~ sight, smell, and touch.

Yeah, talk about stepping outside my comfort zone,... This week I decided, for the first time EVER, to submit a photo to the I Heart Faces Photography Blog Challenge. I've been a fan of their blog for some time, but never felt courageous enough to participate,... until now.

The challenge for this week is "Smile", and since that is exactly what this picture of my beautiful girl makes me do, I thought it would be the perfect candidate for the challenge.
