Aaahhh Spring

How amazing is it that every year we get to go from drab, gray, cold Winter days to bright, colorful, breezy Spring days? I love that we are currently surrounded by so much new life, new growth, new hope, new possibilities. Everywhere you look there's yet another beautiful color from earth's breathtaking palette. Like this beautiful scene. Is this gorgeous or what?

But all this beauty also brings with it lots of new grass, pollen and mold. Which in turns translates to instant runny noses, itchy, watery eyes and non-stop sneezing. That's exactly what Isabella and I are going through right now.

So what if we have to be all doped up on Benadryl, Sudafed, and other cold and sinus medicine to be able to go outside to enjoy the pretty colors? It's certainly worth it!

Our Masterpiece

Check this out! Our very own personal masterpiece is a priceless masterpiece currently exhibited in a very well-known museum. Amazing, isn't it? Unfortunately it's all an illusion courtesy of a website called dumpr.net where you can play with your photos. But seriously, how cool is that? It looks like the picture is being closely admired and studied by what appear to be some very culturally refined artists. I mean look at them, these people clearly know a good piece when they see one, don't you think? And I couldn't agree more. What an unbelievable "privilege" for such a hopeless photographer as myself. Here's to dreaming big!

Thank You Aunt Liz

We had the most beautiful day today: high 70's, sunny, white puffy clouds in the sky and and a nice cool breeze ~ perfect Spring weather. Good thing considering we had promised our neighbor Madison we would go see her play soccer this morning. There's nothing like watching 3 and 4 year olds running around trying to kick a ball into a 4 feet wide opening. It was hilarious.

Anyway, Isabella was able to enjoy watching the game by sitting in a cute little folding chair that once belonged to her cousin Daniel and her Aunt Liz brought down when they came to visit us last summer. Today was the first time she used the chair and she absolutely loved it! It is wide enough to hold her, her chips and her sippy cup. I mean look at her,... if that's not the picture of comfort I don’t know what is.

So thank you so much Aunt Liz for the wonderful chair. As you can see it’s the perfect size and it’s certainly going to get a lot of use this year.

My Inspiration

This is the reason why I scrapbook!

Meet my very happy, beautiful, loving, stubborn and opinionated 20 month old princess.

She's the one and only reason I started scrapbooking and I haven't been able to stop since. There are more layouts about her in my albums than of all the other subjects combined. She is my inspiration. One look is all it takes to understand why.

I don't ever want to forget what all these moments felt like. I love you baby girl!

Welcome

Hi, my name is Liz Butler and this is my blog. I am a Puerto Rican who currently lives in Tennessee. I am a wife, a mother, an avid scrapbooker, and a hopeless photographer. I am also a closet blogaholic, reality TV junkie, ice cream addict, movie fanatic and avid reader.

Until today I've never done anything like this. I've kept various journals in the past and I've made scrapbook pages to document my thoughts, feelings and experiences, but never anything so public. I've never had a website and I don’t even know how to log into My Space, but somehow this feels right. Maybe it's because I don't particularly think anyone will read it, and that's OK. Unlike most everything I do day in and day out, this I'm actually doing for me, just for fun.

So if you actually get lost in the vast blog universe out there and end up here reading this ~ welcome. I hope you don't mind me sharing my life and my family with you. I hope you don’t mind me speaking my mind. I hope you don't mind my spelling errors and punctuation mistakes. I hope you don't mind me being me ~ the good, the bad, the ugly ~ the perfect chaos that I am.
